Our Commitment to Your Privacy

Save Bulk Gmail Attachments is built around one rule: your attachments and your email content are never routed through our servers. They move between Google and your browser, and nowhere else. We do run an account backend for sign-in, subscriptions and your download quota, and the sections below set out exactly what it holds.

Data Collection & Processing

🔒 Client-Side Attachment Processing

  • • Email and attachment processing happens in your browser
  • • No email content is sent to our servers
  • • No attachment files are uploaded to our servers
  • • Attachments move directly between Gmail, your device and Google Drive

Note: Attachments and email content stay client-side, but other data does not. This website uses third-party analytics and advertising tools that see site usage only. Separately, the extension signs in to our own account backend, which stores your email address, your subscription and your download counts. Neither ever receives your attachment files or your email content. "Account Data We Store" below describes the backend record in full.

What We DO NOT Collect

  • ❌ Email contents or subjects
  • ❌ Attachment files or their contents
  • ❌ Your contacts, or anyone else's email address
  • ❌ Names, phone numbers or postal addresses — our own systems store none of these (Stripe holds your billing details separately)
  • ❌ Gmail login credentials

What We MAY Collect

Two separate systems collect data: the analytics providers on this website, and the extension’s own account backend. Between them, the following may be collected for usage analysis, billing and performance monitoring:

Analytics Data (via Google Analytics, Ahrefs, TinyAdz)

  • • IP address (pseudonymized/truncated for privacy)
  • • User-Agent string (browser type and version)
  • • Referrer URL (how you arrived at our site)
  • • Page paths and URLs visited on our website
  • • Timestamps of visits and interactions
  • • Geographic location (country/region level only)
  • • Device type and screen resolution
  • • Analytics cookies and similar identifiers

Extension Usage Data (linked to your account)

  • • Number of attachments processed (a count only, never the file contents)
  • • Feature usage frequency
  • • Error reports, with your email address hashed before it is sent
  • • Extension version information

Purpose & Processing

Purpose: Usage analytics, performance monitoring, error tracking, billing, and service improvement

Data Processing: All analytics data is aggregated and pseudonymized where possible

Retention Period: Analytics data is retained for up to 26 months (Google Analytics default) or less based on provider policies. Account data follows the 730-day rule described under "Account Data We Store"

Opt-Out Options

You can opt out of analytics tracking through:

Gmail OAuth Permissions

The extension uses Google's secure OAuth to access your Gmail. We request only the minimum necessary permissions:

  • • Read access to view attachments
  • • No compose or send permissions
  • • No ability to delete or modify emails

You can revoke access at any time through your Google Account settings.

Data Storage

Any settings or preferences are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to sync Chrome settings across devices.

Account Data We Store

Signing in to the extension creates a record on our own backend. It is keyed to your Google account and holds:

  • • Your email address and your Google account ID
  • • Your subscription status and the Stripe customer ID behind it
  • • Your daily and lifetime download counts, which enforce the free quota
  • • The date you first signed in and the date we last saw you
  • • Your language preference, when you set one in the extension

Not stored: Your attachment files and your email content never reach this backend. When the extension confirms a completed download it sends the file name, the file size and the Gmail message ID alongside the counter. The backend uses them to discard duplicate requests and does not keep them.

Retention: We keep your account record while you use the extension. After 730 days without activity we delete it. A minimal record of your email address remains after deletion, as evidence that the deletion took place.

Export and deletion: Ask us and we will send you a copy of your account record — profile, usage statistics, subscription history and download history — or delete it. Write to the address under "Your Rights" below.

Third-Party Services

We use a small number of third-party services. The first group runs on this website; the second group supports the extension’s account backend:

  • Google Analytics (anonymous usage statistics, page views, session duration)
  • Ahrefs Analytics (aggregated traffic sources, search keywords, referrer data)
  • TinyAdz (engagement metrics, conversion tracking for extension installs)
  • YouTube (privacy-enhanced embed) (the homepage tutorial video loads from youtube-nocookie.com only after you press play — no YouTube cookies or requests before that; playback is then governed by Google's privacy policy)
  • Google Ads (conversion tracking for install campaigns on this website)
  • Meta Pixel (conversion tracking for install campaigns on this website)
  • Stripe (payments and subscriptions; Stripe collects your name and billing details at checkout — your card number never reaches us)
  • Resend (delivery of account and subscription email)
  • PostHog (product analytics for the extension, on EU infrastructure; you appear as a hash of your email address, not as your name)
  • Sentry (error and crash reports for the extension, on EU infrastructure; email addresses are hashed before an event is sent)
  • • The extension itself carries no advertising or conversion tracking — those scripts run on this website only
  • • No data brokers

Cookies: These analytics and advertising services may set cookies to track usage patterns. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings or by using the Do Not Track option. For more information, please review each service’s privacy policy linked above.

To learn more about how these services handle data, please visit their respective privacy policies linked above. You can opt out of analytics tracking as described in the "Your Rights" section below.
